Oeste is a 90 seat bar, rooftop bar, (yes, rooftop!) and cafe located in the heart of one of Oakland’s hottest and growing neighborhoods— Old Oakland. At Oeste, we are committed to providing a warm, inviting and inclusive atmosphere, offering wonderful food for the soul and pouring the highest quality spirits, wines and beers.
We offer exemplary dishes by focusing on fresh, organic and sustainably farmed California ingredients, where we’ll fuse our family’s Latino recipes with Southern flavors and techniques. Our cuisine represents each of our heritages, while also reflecting Oakland’s multi-cultural community.
In addition to our sustainably-focused menu, we are dedicated to conservationist business practices. Our beautiful rooftop green wall and plant life will be cared for with the use of our greywater system.

Oeste cafe, located next door to Oeste bar, is an oasis of amazing coffee drinks, yummy pastries and house made bites. Our barista Troy specializes in specialty espresso drinks like our Lavender Oatmilk Latte and Espresso Spritzer. We feature Roastco beans, roasted locally in Oakland. We have a selection of pastries from Starter Bakery and we make our own Spanish Tortillas, croissant breakfast sandwiches, grab and go lunch sandwiches and salads.

Sandra, Lea and Anna have worked for nearly two years developing Oeste’s business concept, all while working day jobs and meeting family obligations.
They meet weekly to develop ideas, establish goals, assign tasks and learn what it means to be a success. Outside of the business, they continue to grow their friendships and commitment to one another.
Lea is a Bay Area native with degrees from UC Berkeley and Stanford. After completing her undergraduate degree, Lea worked in restaurants in the Bay Area and in Maui.
Lea will work with Anna on Oeste Operations, with a focus on cafe Oeste.
Anna is a third generation resident of Oakland and a graduate of UC Santa Cruz. She has over 25 years of experience in the construction field, as an Owner, Sales Estimator and Project Manager. She is a Co-Owner of Miss Ollie’s restaurant in Oakland. Anna will oversee Oeste operations.
Sandra has lived and worked in Oakland for over 27 years and is a graduate of Evergreen College in Washington State. She has trained and worked as a community organizer and is currently a Program Manager for the largest health foundation in California where she implemented the foundation’s grantmaking program in Oakland. Sandra will focus on community involvement and outreach for Oeste.
